NoDues helps a group split trip expenses and settle up. This policy explains what the app stores, why, and how you can delete it.
Without an account
If you continue without an account, your trips and expenses are stored only on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to us.
With Sign in with Apple
When you sign in, the following is stored in Google Firebase so your group can see the same trip:
- Account: an account ID from Sign in with Apple, and the name you give.
- Profile: your phone number, and your UPI ID if you add one. Members of your trips can see these so they can identify and pay you.
- Trips: trip names, members, expenses, notes, and recorded payments that you or your trip members add.
- Notifications: a push notification token for your device, with its app version, language and time zone, so we can send trip updates at sensible times.
Camera and contacts
Bill scanning reads receipts on your iPhone. Photos are not uploaded. When you pick friends from your contacts, only the names and phone numbers you choose are added to the trip. Your address book is never uploaded.
What we don't do
NoDues has no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We don't sell or share your data. NoDues never handles money: UPI payments open in your own payments app.
Service providers
Data is stored and processed by Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions and Cloud Messaging) on our behalf. Apple delivers push notifications.
Deleting your data
In the app, go to Profile → Delete Account. This deletes your profile, your devices, your notifications and the trips you created. In trips other people created, you remain as a past member without your phone number or UPI ID, so the group's totals still add up. If you have no account, signing out erases everything on your iPhone.
Children
NoDues is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
